The Edmonton Oilers have tied the Stanley Cup Finals with the Florida Panthers at two games apiece. On Thursday night, in one of the most remarkable postseason comebacks in the history of the Oilers franchise, Edmonton beat Florida 5-4. The Oilers were once down 3-0 after the first period, before scoring four answered goals. The Panthers then tied the game at four with a goal by Sam Reinhart of West Vancouver, British Columbia before the Oilers won 5-4 in overtime.

Leon Draisaitl was the Oilers leader in points with three as he had one goal and two assists. Draisaitl set the NHL record for the most overtime goals scored in one Stanley Cup playoff season with four, and tied the NHL record for most overtime goals in the Stanley Cup Finals with two. The other two players to accomplish the feat are Don Raleigh of Kenora, Ontario, who accomplished the feat with the New York Rangers in 1950, and John LeClair of the Montreal Canadiens, who accomplished the feat in 1993.

Two Canadians had a multi-point game for the Oilers. They were centre Ryan Nugent-Hopkins of Burnaby, British Columbia (one goal and one assist for two points), and defenseman Darnell Nurse of Hamilton, Ontario (one goal and one assist for two points). Meanwhile, defenseman Jake Walman of Toronto, Ontario also scored for Edmonton.
