Nick Taylor of Winnipeg, Manitoba remains in the hunt at the 2025 Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, near Columbus. On Saturday, Taylor had a topsy turvy round. You simply saw a combination of brilliant shot making and early struggles.

Taylor is currently all alone in third place at -5.  He is three strokes back of the leader, American Scottie Scheffler, who won the PGA Championship last month. Scheffler, the two-time Masters champion and world number one, is the dominant favourite to win on Sunday. Scheffler is also the defending champion of the Memorial, as he beat Collin Morikawa by a stroke, and looking for his third PGA Tour win of 2025, as he won the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in Texas also last month. The only other golfer in contention is Ben Griffin of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, who is alone in second place at -7.

What we saw from Taylor was interesting indeed. He actually bogeyed his first two holes to drop from -7 to -5. Taylor continued his struggles on the back nine as he double bogeyed the 12th and bogeyed the 13th hole to drop to -2. Then he eagled the 14th hole and birdied the 15th hole to return to -5. On the 14th hole, Taylor made the shot of the entire tournament as he made a 118 yard approach shot.
