The London Knights have won the 2025 Memorial Cup at the Sun Life Financial Colisee in Rimouski, Quebec. On Sunday night in the championship final, the Knights defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers by a score of 4-1.
London was led offensively by defenseman Sam Dickinson of Toronto, Ontario (first round pick, 11th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 2024 National Hockey League Entry Draft). Dickinson had three assists for three points. Meanwhile, left winger Denver Barkey of Newmarket, Ontario (third round pick, 95th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft) had two goals, while centre Jacob Julien of London, Ontario (fifth round pick, 146th overall by the Winnipeg Jets in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft), and right winger Easton Cowan of Mount Brydges, Ontario (first round pick, 28th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft) had one goal each.
Barkey and Cowan led the Memorial Cup tournament with seven points each. and in the process won the Ed Chynoweth Trophy. They both had three goals and four assists. Dickinson led the Memorial Cup with six assists. Cowan won the Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy presented to the Memorial Cup most valuable player.
The Knights have now won three Memorial Cups. They previously won in 2005 and 2016.
