Canada’s unemployment rate ticks up to 7% in May

Canada’s unemployment rate rose to 7.0 per cent in May, from 6.9 per cent in April, Statistics Canada said on Friday.

Previous month’s rate had matched a pre-pandemic high of 6.9 per cent
