Team Canada has won the bronze medal at the 2025 World Men’s Curling Championships in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. On Sunday, Canada trounced China 11-2 to reach the podium. The Canadian team was composed of skip Brad Jacobs of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, third Marc Kennedy of St. Albert, Alberta, second Brett Gallant of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and lead Ben Hebert of Regina, Saskatchewan.

It was an exceptional game for the Canadians, who got off to a fantastic start. In the first end, Jacobs delivered an amazing split, and got fortunate when Chinese skip Xiaoming Xu flashed. All of a sudden, Canada got the 3-0 lead.

Then in the fourth end, Canada once again continued their fourth end dominance throughout the tournament. The Canadian strategy was to put rocks in the house, and it worked as they scored five points as a result. In 14 games at the World Championship, Canada outscored their opponents 18-5 in the fourth end.

Scotland won the gold medal. They defeated Canada 7-4 in the semifinal game on Saturday and Switzerland 5-4 in the gold medal game on Sunday. This was the first year since 2021 that Canada was not in the gold medal game of the World Men’s Curling Championships. The last three years Brad Gushue of St. John’s, Newfoundland won the silver medal, but lost the gold medal game twice to Sweden and once to Scotland.
