In the first game of the three game series on Monday, the Blue Jays defeated the Cardinals 5-4 in 10 innings. Meanwhile, Jonatan Clase hit the game-tying home run in the ninth inning. Jose Berrios had 6 2/3 shutout innings, Yariel Rodriguez had the win, and Jeff Hoffman notched the save.
