Predators trade Sissons and Lauzon to Golden Knights for Hague

There was a National Hockey League trade involving three Canadians on Sunday. The Nashville Predators acquired defenseman Nicolas Hague of Kitchener, Ontario from the Vegas Golden Knights for centre Colton Sissons of North Vancouver, British Columbia and defenseman Jeremy Lauzon of Val D’or, Quebec according to TSN on Sunday.

Hague has spent the last six seasons with the Golden Knights. In 68 games in 2024-25, he had five goals and seven assists for 12 points. He was a -2 with 40 penalty minutes, one game-winning goal, 74 shots on goal, 74 blocked shots, 82 hits, 18 takeaways, and 56 giveaways. Hague’s game-winning goal came on December 21 in a 6-2 Golden Knights win over the Seattle Kraken. Hague scored from Mark Stone of Winnipeg, Manitoba and Jack Eichel with two minutes and 12 seconds left in the first period to put the Golden Knights up 3-1.

Sissons spent 11 seasons with the Predators. In 72 games in 2024-25, he had seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points. He was a -12 with 22 penalty minutes, one power-play point, 80 shots on goal, 342 faceoff wins, 67 blocked shots, 100 hits, 20 takeaways, and 32 giveaways. The power-play point came in a 7-5 Predators win over the San Jose Sharks on January 21. Sissons set up Fedor Svechkov at 12:40 of the second period.

Lauzon had one assist in 28 games last season. He was previously with Boston and Seattle before joining Nashville.
