5 Canadians with TDs on winning teams in Week 3 of CFL season

The third week of the 2025 Canadian Football League regular season is now complete and five Canadians scored touchdowns on winning teams. They were Montreal Alouettes wide receiver Tyson Philpot of Delta, British Columbia, Alouettes running back Sean Thomas Erlington of Montreal, Quebec, Alouettes fullback David Dallaire of Saint-Georges, Quebec, Ottawa Redblacks running back Daniel Adeboboye of Mississauga, Ontario, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive lineman Asotui Eli of Richmond, British Columbia.

Philpot, Thomas-Erlington and Dallaire accomplished the feat in a 38-28 Alouettes win over the Edmonton Elks on Thursday. Adeboboye accomplished the feat in a 20-12 Redblacks win over the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday, and Eli scored a touchdown in a 27-14 Blue Bombers win over the British Columbia Lions on Saturday.

Dallaire caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Alouettes quarterback Davis Alexander with six minutes and 32 seconds left in the first quarter to put the Alouettes up 7-3. Philpot caught a 13-yard pass from Alexander with one minute and 35 seconds left in the first quarter to put the Alouettes up 14-3. Thomas Erlington had a 23-yard rushing touchdown with nine minutes and 35 seconds left in the fourth quarter to put the Alouettes up 38-14.

In the game, Dallaire had one catch for six receiving yards. Philpot had eight catches for 96 receiving yards and one rush for four yards for 100 total yards. Thomas Erlington had 11 rushes for 63 rushing yards and one catch for four yards for 67 total yards. For the season, Dallaire has four catches for 32 receiving yards and one touchdown, Philpot has 17 catches for 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and one rush for four yards, and Thomas-Erlington has 34 rushes for 169 rushing yards and two catches for nine yards.

Adeboboye caught a nine-yard pass from Redblacks quarterback Dustin Crum to complete the scoring with six minutes and two seconds left in the game. Adeboboye had 10 rushes for 96 rushing yards and two catches for 17 yards for 113 total yards. He now has 12 rushes for 101 yards this season, and eight catches for 51 yards and one touchdown.

Eli caught a five-yard pass from Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros at 6:31 of the fourth quarter to put the Blue Bombers up 27-6. It was Eli’s first catch and touchdown in 54 CFL games. With the wins, the Alouettes are at three wins and zero losses, the Blue Bombers are at two wins and zero losses, and the Redblacks are at one win and two losses.
